Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Achieve Together to recruit Support Workers for their supported living service, Holland Road in Clacton.

The shift patterns vary are usually a mix between early and late split shifts but can vary depending on the service.

Early - 7am to 2:30pm

Late - 2:40pm to 10pm

Ability to work every second Saturday if required

Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.

Holland Road is a residential service for adults aged 18+ with mental health needs, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge and learning disabilities. The service uses a person-centred planning approach tailored towards individual needs and focusing on outcomes. Individuals are supported to be as independent as possible and to be active contributing members of the community.

People are encouraged to take part in meaningful activities that enrich their lives, and staff support individuals in identifying and maintaining any leisure activities as well as education and/or college placements.

Support workers treat everyone equally and with the dignity and respect they deserve: you'll play a vital part in providing support that improves the ability to manage daily tasks and enable people to experience independent living and decision making.

Your role is to:

  • Support people in achieving their goals and ambitions
  • Planning and engaging in activities
  • Make a positive contribution to the lives of others
  • Prompting and/or supporting personal care

Achieve Together applies a robust recruitment vetting process. If you are successful you will need to undergo a Pre-employment Vetting Procedure.

The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
