The Lancashire County Council Inclusion Service are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Social Worker to our Fylde and South Ribble Children with Disabilities team.
The Children with Disabilities service is a progressive and innovative service to work in, we embrace a strengths-based approaches and in-depth multi-agency working, with a determination to achieve the best possible outcome for the children, young people, and families that we work with. We are a specialist service made up of a variety of practitioners who are skilled in supporting children with complex needs and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills by working in a generic team.
As a senior Practitioners, you will be autonomous in your role, demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, assessing and managing higher levels of risk and need, striking a balance between support and control, liaising with a wide range of professionals, including those at more senior levels.
Senior Practitioners are an integral part of our Children with Disabilities Service and the wider Inclusion Service. You will make key contribution to the smooth running of the service by promoting and encouraging individual staff development in terms of their confidence, ability, and position in the team. You will demonstrate the importance of valuing service user views, recognising interventions that are relevant to service users that will have a greater chance of positive outcomes, and through their experience provide useful information on the quality and effectiveness of service provision.
The role calls for a creative and passionate individual with a commitment to ensuring that children and young people with disabilities and their families are at the centre of all practice.
