This is a temporary post covering secondment until 31/03/2024 or until the post holder returns. The post involves an element of weekend working, currently 1 in 5 weekends, however there could be a need to work additional weekends, up to a maximum of 18 per year. Working hours are 08:45 – 17:00'. A structed rota will be created against all the posts in the team to allow the successful candidate to be aware and plan the weekends they will be required to work.

The peripatetic team works across the county, providing additional support to hospital discharge teams when needed.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker who that can display the following skills and experience:
Someone who can undertake high quality assessments, review, and support plans for individuals
Provide a professional social work service including statutory responsibilities.
Someone who can contribute to effective team working and to service development and to work with management to identify improvements that could be introduced to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
Someone who can build and sustain relationships to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners involved in service provision, whilst having confidence to challenge what is not working and work creatively to suggest alternative proposals.
Someone who can work under pressure, manage their time flexibly, intelligently under multiple demands and prioritise and manage a caseload.
Contribute to service delivery that is strengths based and outcome focused with an emphasis on promoting independence and enabling recovery
Support the manager with some aspects of leadership.

You must be registered with Social Work England to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Work England. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non- social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required, and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.
