An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager Highways, Infrastructure and Traffic Management within Wakefield Council. The postholder will be the responsible lead officer for the strategic and operational delivery of the councils functions and duties under the Highways Act 1980, Traffic Management Act 2004, Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and related legislation.
The postholder will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of capital programmes of work along with other projects and will also represent the local authority at local, regional and national levels.
The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to lead and motivate high performing teams with a focus on delivering high quality customer services. Experience of implementing change and securing continuous improvement are essential attributes.
