Are you naturally caring, kind and passionate about older people? Thornton House are recruiting a Residential Care Assistant to join their friendly team, where everyone feels valued for the work they do!

We are really proud to be one of Lancashire County Council's 16 residential care homes spread right across Lancashire, who provide care and support to more than 700 wonderful residents. We're looking for naturally compassionate people who can help us deliver exceptional care and achieve our vision 'To be the best quality service, safely supporting older people with kindness, dignity, care and compassion to live their life their way'.

You do not need to have any care experience to join our team, the right values, attitude and behaviours are more important than your previous career background. We will however, support and pay for your training, along with a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and uniform and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

About Our Home:

Thornton House is a purpose built two storey home for older people located in Thornton Cleveleys, which is a pretty village with a range of shops, with its own little theatre, and an 18th Century windmill.

It is one of 16 care homes managed by Lancashire County Council and offers quality, safe, comfortable care and support for up to 45 people across four homely separate areas. We offer friendly, compassionate, person centred support to people living with dementia who choose Thornton house as their home. We also welcome older people for Residential care, short term respite stays and admissions for people who need intermediate care services to support their rehabilitation.

We are a great team but don't just take our word for it!

People who live at Thornton House said “I am looked after. My daughter knows I am safe here so it gives her peace of mind.” “The staff are fantastic, they look after me really well.” “I like everything, I am safe and warm, and I don’t worry about falling. The staff are very attentive, best thing I’ve done.” “Kind, caring staff, makes living here a pleasure.”
