Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Bloomsbury Home Care to recruit Support Assistants for their home care service is the following areas;

  • Colchester
  • Harwich
  • Frinton
  • Clacton
  • Manningtree

The shift patterns vary with both full time and part time hours available and will require day, night and weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.

The pay rate for this role is;

  • Weekday (10am to 6pm) - £10 per hour
  • Weekday (6pm to 10am) - £11 per hour
  • Weekend (10am to 6pm) - £11.71 per hour
  • Weekend (6pm to 10am) - £13.91 per hour
  • Bank Holiday (24 hours) - £17.19 per hour

Bloomsbury Home Care provides personal care, domestic assistance and social support to adults with various abilities in Essex, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. They have one local team leader in charge of the support, and they will oversee a small team of outstanding support assistants, to ensure their client's get the very best support and excellent continuity.

Bloomsbury Home Care really believe in the value of continuity. Their client's work with the same selection of support assistants for the long term, allowing each member of the local support team to really get to know the clients and their unique needs. Whether they need a little extra support with personal care, meal preparation or picking up the shopping - The team be there morning, noon and night.

As a Support Assistant you will be involved in providing personal care, and social and domestic support. You could be collecting groceries, administering medication, helping around the house and preparing meals, going out for lunch or simply staying indoors to play a game or watch a film.

The role is ideal for those who have a genuine passion for helping and supporting others, who can also ensure client satisfaction in line with company policies and procedures.

Please note as this is a home care role, applicants will need to have a full driver's licence and access to their own vehicle.
