Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Crosspath Care LTD to recruit Specialist Community Support Workers for their home care service in Coggeshall, Kelvedon, Witham Colchester, Chelmsford, Maldon and Braintree areas.

The shift patterns vary with both full time and part time hours available and will require day, evenings and weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.

Crosspath Care is based in Coggeshall in Essex and specialise in supporting people with mental health needs, autism and dementia, enabling people to live in their own homes as independently as possible. This includes 24-hour care within their home and an alternative to supported housing or residential care.

Crosspath Care aim to empower and support people with life choices and decisions, helping to develop life skills and to live as independently as possible. They do not want to create dependency on their service, but instead aim to see people become as independent as possible and to meet their full potential.

Crosspath Care are looking to recruit Support Workers to join their fantastic team. The role will be working directly with service users to promote recovery and independence in their own home.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake all aspects of support and personal care as described in the care plan respecting and maintaining dignity at all times
  • Work within the recovery model promoting independence
  • Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of service users at all times.
  • Ensure that records are monitored, updated and maintained correctly and professionally always.
  • Monitor that service users are engaging effectively with the agreed recovery plan.

Please note, as part of this role you will be required to travel throughout Chelmsford and Colchester, therefore all candidates must be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle. Mileage and travel time will be paid.

Crosspath Care LTD applies a robust recruitment vetting process. If you are successful you will need to undergo a Pre-employment Vetting Procedure.

As part of employment should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
