As our Director of Law and Governance you will be the Council’s statutory Monitoring Officer, ensuring that the Council, it’s Officers, and it’s Elected Members, maintain the highest standards of conduct in all they do. You will lead and manage legal and governance strategies, and ensure the responsible operation of the Council’s Constitution, leading the election and committee services. Providing strategic and professional advice on legal, constitutional and corporate governance issues will be a key part of this role, ensuring the Council is compliant with relevant law, frameworks, guidance, policies and procedures. In addition, you will be part of the Council Senior Leadership Team driving significant cultural change to deliver the Council’s objectives in a modern and proactive way.
