Job Details

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated communications professional to join our team. You will be leading on internal communications to keep more than 4,000 staff across a range of locations well-informed about the Council’s priorities, vision and values.

Based in Woolwich, a short walk from the new Elizabeth line station, the role will comprise a mix of office and some home working.

With excellent written and verbal communications skills, you will be an expert at turning complex information into accessible communications for our staff.

You will help the senior leadership team and staff engage with each other on a range of topics throughout the year via different feedback forums.

You will be responsible for the overall internal communications agenda and forward plan of activity, and the ongoing development of our internal communications channels – including our intranet, staff newsletter and forums.

As a team player, you will work with colleagues across the council, to ensure staff are considered as a key audience for all our communications. Keeping up to date with the latest technology and best practice you will reinvigorate the council’s internal communications.
