Working for our traded service we work with clients in education, county, district and parish councils. We also work with client in the culture and leisure sectors, construction, warehousing, ALMO’s and other commercial sectors.

Our main client base is in education so knowledge of this sector would be a distinct advantage, however applicants with a broad base of knowledge will also be considered.

Our outward facing services provide consultancy, inspections, auditing, training and customer care etc. Our service has seen steady growth in the last five years and we are looking to recruit an additional post. Our growth is based on exceptional service and therefore we require the best people.

This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise through exposure to a broad range of work including risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits and advisory work. You’ll also act as a duty officer, carry out staff training, update H&S information and pitch to academies and other clients for the provision of H&S services. Contributing to a mix of group and individual projects, you’ll be supported by our large and forward-looking team. 

About you 

 Your background could be with another local authority, public sector organisation or private company, but you’ll have a good grounding in all aspects of health, safety and wellbeing. Your success depends on a can-do attitude, team-focused outlook, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

You’ll hold a NEBOSH certificate and be qualified to at least Tech IOSH level, working towards Grad IOSH.  Knowledge of UK/EC directives on H&S and OHSAS/ISO 18001/45001 is important, while experience of the construction industry would be an advantage. Possession of a valid driving license is essential.
