This is an exciting opportunity to join the Public Health Team at Telford and Wrekin Council. Telford and Wrekin is a great place to live and work with the Council recently crowned as Council of the Year at the 2022 MJ Awards.

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic, experienced and committed Senior Public Health Practitioners. One will strategically lead our public health work to improve outcomes for children and young people and the other our whole systems approach to reducing obesity. You will work closely with the Public Health Team and various colleagues and teams across the local authority. More broadly, your work will include working across the Integrated Care System with NHS bodies and the community and voluntary sector. The Senior Public Health Practitioner role will include understanding local health needs, developing evidence-based programmes to improve health and wellbeing and tackle inequalities. You will work with communities and partner organisations, contributing to the work of the public health agenda in Telford and Wrekin and in line with our Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
