  • To support the development and delivery of performance management and quality assurance activity based on regulatory frameworks (namely HMIP), national and local performance indicators, management and departmental requirements.
  • To maintain a performance management and quality assurance system that supports the management of the service, inter-agency partnership working and inspection requirements.
  • To develop practice to ensure compliance with HMIP frameworks.
  • To support the Service with the development of innovative best practice.
  • To support peers and Managers with practice development and consistency of service delivery

 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 

  • Experience of developing innovative solutions as outcomes from interpreting themes and trends in data.
    Ability to lead, motivate and enthuse others across the Service and in wider partnerships
  • Significant experience in a relevant professional field (Social work, probation, education, youth work, police, health) including evidence of work with young people.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people and a sound understanding of the issues and barriers that they face
  • Experience of inspection frameworks, HMIP and Ofsted
  • Experience of working to safeguard children
  • Experience of promoting and implementing change programmes, improving service quality and creating performance cultures that drive up standards and performance
  • Knowledge of criminal justice requirements and legislation, relevant childcare legislation and the operational framework of the youth justice system
  • Effective evidence-based practice in relation to the provision of high quality youth justice services
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality, approaches and practice
  • Partnership & Integrated Working
  • An understanding of the link between effective practice and improved outcomes for children, young people and families
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for obtaining views and feedback from service users including children and young people
  • An interest in the development of youth justice services and evidence-based practice
