Role overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Revenues and Benefits Service of Oldham Council, to work with an established team to drive forward change and continuous improvement taking advantage of digital technologies. The post holder will be a key member of the management team of the Finance Service and work with the Director of Finance in the delivery of high quality and effective services.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Responsibility for the Revenues and Benefits division of the Council, leading a team to provide a responsive and customer focussed service

•   Providing necessary leadership in the development of new initiatives within the Revenues and Benefits team and across the wider Finance Service

•   Ensuring effective performance management and continuous improvement in relation to all services provided by the Revenues and Benefits Service.

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

•    A proven track record of working at a senior leadership level delivering an effective Revenues and Benefits service while working collaboratively to lead and embed a high-performance culture

•    The ability to lead change initiatives and to motivate and manage multi-disciplinary teams

•     The ability to work at a strategic and corporate level and to communicate and engage with a wide range of internal and external bodies, building partnerships and productive working relationships.
