An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Business Support Team for Neighbourhood & Enforcement Services. The services being supported are high profile frontline services which include highways maintenance, household waste collections, green spaces, transport, enforcement, Safer, Stronger Communities and public protection.

You will be a key flexible member of the team, maintaining good quality support to these services. This is a busy team where meeting deadlines is crucial. 

We are looking for someone with strong communication and IT skills who has a great attention to detail. The ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection is essential

The role is incredibly varied with a range of duties, some of which involve: 

  • Preparing for and minuting meetings
  • Processing customer applications, licences and permits ensuring policy and procedures are accurately followed
  • Raising financial orders and processing invoices
  • Maintaining accurate records and inputting data onto relevant systems/databases
  • Responding to requests from council officers and members of the public in line with agreed procedures
  • Act as a point of contact for the Customer Contact Centre when necessary and give rapid response to contractors and officers in the event of emergencies
