A casual Assistant Care Manager at Bowgreave Rise in Garstang who will work within the management team supporting the Registered Care Manager following a 3 week rota, working alternative weekends.

The post holder, whilst adhering to Lancashire County Council and/or Older People Services policies and procedures, will assist the Registered Care Manager and management/care staff team in providing a person centred, caring supportive and reabling environment for residents within a residential service.

This is a casual position and you will be required to cover for existing staff sickness and holidays. Enhanced rates of pay will be paid for weekend and bank holiday working.

Hours of Work:

Within this role you will be able to work up to 37 hours per week. Shift Patterns include - 08:00 – 15:00, 12:00-19:00, 14:00-22:00 and 15:30-22:00.

Here are a few things we are looking for:

A minimum of two years' experience of working in a personal care setting.

An ability to provide high quality physical, emotional, recreational and reabling care/support to service users of our establishment, including administration and distribution of medication, meeting health care needs and providing high quality end of life care.

An ability to manage and motivate a care staff team and ensure that adequate care staffing levels are maintained at all times.

An ability to effectively communicate with residents, relatives, staff and other professionals at all levels, including the ability to demonstrate good customer care practice.

Be able to demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, health and safety legislation implementation and managerial responsibilities within a residential care setting.
