Location: Flexible home/office working with some travel around Lancashire (and occasionally England) – office base Preston, County Hall

Salary: £48,684 - £52,811 (Grade 12)

Hours: 37 hours (with some flexibility)

Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced Manager and passionate about helping Lancashire businesses find skilled talent and residents to access new skills and careers? 

A fabulous opportunity has arisen to join the Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub as Manager.  The role will support the Director to drive forward the development and implementation of the Lancashire Skills and Employment Strategic Framework, working proactively with the Skills Hub team, employers, providers and partners, and the members of the Lancashire Skills and Employment Advisory Panel. 

You will be joining the Skills Hub at an exciting time, with the development of a pan-Lancashire strategy – Lancashire 2050 and plans in place for a combined authority and county deal which will drive up skills and employment across the area.

You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team who work in partnership with a wide range of organisations across Lancashire. We are a friendly bunch who want to make a difference to the people and businesses of Lancashire.

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day delivery of projects and activities, the Skills Hub budgets, as well as supporting the development of strategy and policy into the medium to longer term in-line with government skills and employment policy and local labour market intelligence.
