As a Labourer driver you will work as part of a team, providing a collection and delivery service for a wide range of vehicles including cars, small vans and tractors and equipment. A key part of your role will be to carry out general labouring and care-taking duties in a proactive way.

You will be joining us at a very exciting time as we move to Featherstone later this year to a state-of-the-art fleet maintenance facility. If you are interested in working for the foremost Council Transport Services Team in the country, four-time national award winner and holders of Earned Recognition Accreditation from the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency.

A flexible approach to working hours and conditions is essential to cover Service & Corporate requirements as is an early / late shift start pattern and the ability to work additional hours as appropriate.

Essential criteria of the post are an LGV licence minimum category C+E (Restricted) and able to demonstrate reasonable experience of driving Large Goods Vehicle. A good knowledge of all-modern vehicles, plant and horticultural machinery. Able to demonstrate competence in the driving of a mixed fleet and practical highway code theory.
