Exciting new post has been created for a Domestic Abuse Engagement Officer to contribute to the Local Authorities Statutory Duties as outlined in the new Domestic Abuse Act 2021.   This Legislation has been hailed as the most significant change in the field of domestic abuse in a generation.

 

We are looking to appoint a suitably skilled and motivated person to work as part of the Strategic Domestic Abuse Team. The post holder will support the development of domestic abuse peer support groups for survivors and aquiring the views and voice of domestic abuse victims/survivors.

 

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of domestic abuse and experience of engaging and working with domestic abuse victims/survivors.

 

Secondments may also be considered but ensure you have your Managers approval before applying.
