An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to be part of the Skill Up Project, working within the Council’s Employment & Skills Programme, Step Up supports all residents across the Wakefield district. The project is funded by the European Social Fund until 31st December 2023.
Are you interested in residents getting the right support to help them gain the right skills to progress in work and life? The post holder will work within the Skill Up team in supporting residents in Wakefield to develop careers and future employment and training aspirations.
Excellent IT, administrative, customer care and communication skills are essential along with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential in this role along with good organisational skills. The position also requires, working to tight deadlines as well as closely liaising with other departments across the Council and external partners.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills further in project work.
