Plas Gwynant Outdoor Education Centre is at the heart of outdoor education and adventure, set in an inspirational setting below Snowdon and we are currently recruiting an Assistant Cook at our busy centre.

A permanent position, working for a local authority with paid holidays, pension scheme, great personal benefits and part of a group of four centres.

Single accommodation is available for £200 per month

Less hours/shared role will be considered to suit centre needs

 

Required skills include:

  • Food Hygiene and catering qualifications.
  • Ability to catering for residential groups with an understanding of produce, ingredients and dietary needs
  • Assisting with food ordering, menus and stock control
  • To undertake kitchen/domestic tasks throughout the Centre as required
  • Experience of cleaning to a high standard, preparation of dormitories and staff bedrooms for visitors
  • Experience of customer care, self-motivated and flexible
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
  • Enthusiastic, friendly with a positive manner

Hours

20 hours per week

opportunities for some weekend working at enhanced rates of pay

Morning shifts 7.30am start / Evening shifts finish 7pm
