  We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of the Deaf to join our professional, friendly and motivated team. This is a fixed term post until 31/08/2023.

 

This is an opportunity to work in a Sensory Team working as part of the peripatetic service to schools and settings and/ or in within the primary specialist resource for deaf children. Our mission is to offer timely, intensive and specialist support that closes the gap, maximises progress, raises attainment, secures inclusion and creates independent learners prepared for adult life.

 

Applications are welcome from qualified Teachers of the Deaf and teachers who are not yet qualified but who are currently undertaking the necessary training.

 

We are looking for someone who:

 

Is a consistently good or outstanding practitioner. Has high expectations for pupils and is an excellent communicator. Has experience with deaf learners and thinks creatively. Is enthusiastic, motivated and a lifelong learner. Is able to work well in teams. Has experience working with mainstream pupils  

 

 We are able to offer a positive working environment, opportunity to continue professional development and support to maintain links with other local and regional networks.
