Are you looking for a new challenge? We currently have 2 vacancies for enthusiastic and self-motivated Occupational Therapists within Social Care Occupational Therapy Service (SCOTS) who are driven to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and long term needs within Stoke on Trent. We are a strong team of OTs, OTAs and Support Staff who are looking to welcome and support new colleagues. One post is within the Children’s team and the other in adults.

 

Utilising excellent communication and IT skills and with a commitment towards Continued Professional Development, you will be responsible for working collaboratively, to assess and identify the needs of disabled children/adults.  You will make recommendations for the provision of specialist equipment and minor/major adaptations. You will work closely with other Social Care colleagues and professionals from other partner agencies such as Health and Housing.

 

With a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy, state registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), post-qualification experience in a clinical setting and preferably some experience in Social or Community Care, you will carry an active caseload of service users with eligible needs. You will have the opportunity to widen your skills and experience with robust professional support, advice and supervision that is readily available and you will also contribute to service development. A casual car user allowance is allocated to this post.
