An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the ILS SEND team as a specialist practitioner.

 

 This post is initially fixed term for 6 months, starting in September. A secondment will be considered, you must obtain prior agreement from your line manager for a secondment opportunity.

 

 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic practitioner to join our professional, friendly and motivated multidisciplinary team, comprising of teachers, specialist practitioners and colleagues from the Speech and Language Therapy Service. 

 

 This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience initially working to support children through outreach and then in a Speech and Language Resource situated within a school, supporting primary aged children who have speech, language and communication difficulties. 

 

 Our mission is to offer timely, intensive and specialist support that closes the gap, maximises progress and raises attainment. 

 

Applications are welcome from qualified practitioners who hold at least an NVQ Level 4 Qualification or equivalent and have some experience of supporting pupils with SEND especially those with speech and language difficulties.

 

We are looking for someone who:

 

• Is a consistently good or outstanding classroom practitioner

 

• Has high expectations for pupils and is an excellent communicator

 

• Is enthusiastic, motivated 

 

• Is able to work well in teams

 

• Has experience of working with pupils with SEND
