Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Mercury Healthcare to recruit Home Care assistants for their home care service based around Colchester and Clacton on Sea.

The shift patterns vary with both full time and part time hours available and will require day and weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.

Please note, the pay rate for this position is £9.75 per hour on weekdays and increases to £10.18 per hour at weekends.

Mercury Healthcare provides a range of flexible home care and home help services such as Respite Care, Dementia Care, Personal Care & Hospital Discharge Care in Colchester. They are devoted to providing specialised care in a range of contexts, including physical disability, old age, adults with learning disability and mental health difficulties such as dementia. Mercury Healthcare believe in providing the best care, treating people as they would want to be treated, with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting with washing and dressing
  • Light House keeping
  • Assisting with medication
  • Helping to prepare meals
  • Supporting with shopping
  • Encouraging meaningful activities with their clients, such as trips out.

Please note as this is a home care role, applicants will need to have a full driver's licence and access to their own vehicle.
