Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Bluebird Care to recruit Home Care Assistants for their home care service across Mid Essex.

The shift patterns vary with both full time and part time hours available and will require day, evenings and weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.

Bluebird Care is a national home care provider whilst their Essex office is a locally owned family business run separately to other Bluebird branches. They have 6 offices; Chelmsford, Maldon , Brentwood, Southend, Redbridge, Harlow ensuring they remain local to their home carers and customers to deliver the very best support.

Responsibilities:

  • Personal care duties
  • Administering medication
  • Manual handling, using equipment where required
  • Promoting customer health and wellbeing
  • Companionship and help with activities/appointments
  • Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals
  • Shopping and domestic tasks around the home

Please note as this is a home care role, applicants will need to have a full driver's licence and access to their own vehicle.

Note: ECC are advertising this role on behalf of Bluebird Care and if successful you will be employed by Bluebird Care.

As part of employment should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
