The main duties of the successful applicant will include:

  • providing technical support for the team in relation to the management and processing of data from a range of sources and in a range of formats
  • building positive and professional relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including secondary schools, post 16 education and training providers and other local authorities
  • Supporting the Participation Relationship Manager in the effective engagement of other teams within the Council to share information relevant information on young people
  • being a point of contact in relation to any data submission issues
  • Engaging with individual young people when it is not possible to determine their participation status from other data sources or systems.

  • be an enthusiastic, organised, and self-motivated individual who can multi-task to ensure deadlines are met
  • be able to communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external partners

  • be proactive in sharing ideas to develop our ways of working
  • ideally have some knowledge or experience of the post 16 education and training sector and our related statutory duties.

Whilst the successful applicant will receive training on the systems and processes, we use, it is essential that the postholder has a core set of skills in relation to data processing and handling, experience of using Microsoft Office, ideally with advanced knowledge of Excel, and a working knowledge and/or experience of data systems such as CCIS and Crystal Reports
