Enablement Support Worker Days & Nights

Qualified - Salary £18,887 - £19,264 pa - Band 4 SCP 3 to 4 - (FTE pro rata for part time posts) - Hourly Rate £9.79 - £9.99 (Pay award pending)

Unqualified - Salary £18,516 pa - Band 3 SCP 2 - (FTE pro rata for part time posts)

Hourly Rate £9.60

Various hours are available.

Days - 22.5 hours or 30 hours

Nights 20 hours or 30 hours

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under Special Knowledge and Experience on the Job Profile, which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

We are developing and opening a new service for people with Mental Health Conditions - Hollingwood Lane BD7 4DF which consists of: -

·         3 Bedroomed House – for people stepping down from a hospital ward and do not require intensive support.

·         4 x Apartments – Step up for Crisis Intervention to prevent admission to Wards – in partnership with IHTT – Intensive Home Treatment Team

·         10 x Short Term Tenancy Apartments – Step down for people from Residential and Supported Living looking to reintegrate into independent living, and be enabled to live independently.

·         Short term outreach enablement support to people in their own homes

We are looking for people who are:

·         Positive in their outlook, energetic, enthusiastic, committed and flexible

·         Able to communicate effectively and efficiently (Verbal and written) with the ability to write good clear and accurate records.

·         Supporting and communicating with a variety of people, inclusive of people accessing services, relatives, colleagues, workers from other agencies.

·         Have the knowledge and skill to support person centered care. Undertaking personal care tasks when required for people accessing services, observing, assessing, and recording individual needs

·         Flexibility to respond to individuals and situations, and the ability to stimulate, motivate and encourage and promote independence and enablement.

·         Ability to implement and monitor support plans to enable individuals to regain or remain independent.

·         A caring approach and ability to turn such an attitude to a positive contribution to the work of the team.

Applicants must have:

·         A Minimum of one year’s experience of working with vulnerable adults in a Residential, community or Voluntary capacity.

·         Unqualified Position - Applications will be considered from people who do not hold an NVQ or Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Adults) – but you will be expected/ required to undertake and achieve within 18months of taking up post

·         Qualified Position - Applications are invited from people who have a minimum of NVQ or Diploma Level 2 Health & Social Care (Adults).
