Support Worker - Thera Trust

Permanent, Full and Part Time

£9.50 per hour

Location: Essex

Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Thera Trust to recruit Support Workers for their supported living care service around Essex (including Southend, Colchester, Chelmsford, Clacton).

Thera Trust are looking for Support Workers to work in Witham, Colchester and Southend. We are looking for someone to start work as soon as possible.

As a support worker you will be part of an inclusive team empowered to create innovative ways to support an individual achieve their own personal goals. The ways of supporting will change with everyone you work with because everyone has different ambitions.

Supporting people in their daily lives is as varied and any day could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, interests, and travel.

Your enthusiasm, people skills, reliability and "can-do" approach is vital - but no formal experience is necessary as all our staff receive ongoing endorsed training tailored to the specific needs of the individual you support, allowing personal development and career progression.

Please note as this is a home care role, applicants will need to have a full driver's licence and access to their own vehicle.

Note: ECC are advertising this role on behalf of Thera Trust and if successful you will be employed by Thera Trust.

As part of employment should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
