An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at The Willows Children's' Home in Skelmersdale.

We are looking for one full time Residential Childcare workers (RCCW), working 37 hours a week, to add to our existing team. The role of an RCCW is wide reaching and covers many of the aspects of caring for children in a residential setting, a role specification is available as well as a job description for more details.

Meeting a child's social, emotional, intellectual, educational, cultural and physical needs is a demanding yet highly rewarding role ensuring every child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to build effective working relationships with young people, show good teamwork skills, communication skills and record keeping.

You will also need to be able to develop and maintain professional working relationships with other agencies, such as Education, social workers, Police, YOT, Health.

The hours of work will include weekend work, evening work, and overnight sleep-in duty for which a sleep-in allowance and enhanced rates of pay will apply.
