The post holder will provide specialist expertise on the Public Rights of Way function for the Council, delivering the client Public Rights of Way role of stewardship of Sandwell’s Definitive and draft networks of Public Footpaths and Rights of Way including legal mapping. The post holder will also advise on and implement where required the legal procedures for closure and diversion for footpaths and Rights of Way as required.
Alongside the day-to-day function relating to the Public Rights of Way work, the post holder will also be working on the following priorities:-
- The preparation of a definitive map and statement for the West Bromwich area;
- The review of the Borough's Rights of Way Improvement Plan and its subsequent adoption.
You will be educated to degree or HNC level in a relevant subject.

37 hours per week
