Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Doris Jones to recruit a Team Leader for their home care service based in Westcliff-on-Sea.

Doris Jones understands the importance of balancing the care and support their service users depend upon, with gentle guidance on how to be as physically independent as they can. By combining traditional care services with expertise in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, Doris Jones can help their service users gain greater control over their lives and stay safely in the place they are happiest. There are only a handful of homecare providers in the Southend-On-Sea area rated outstanding by the CQC and Doris Jones are the biggest.

Doris Jones are looking to recruit a Team Leader to oversee and deliver all aspects of the Client Services function.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing 70+ care staff within their role and report findings accurately to Registered Manager and/or HR
  • Undertaking quality checks of staff and audits relevant to role
  • Evaluating and allocate workload for Shift and Duty care staff
  • Liaising with Care Coordination and HR departments to maintain optimum staff levels
  • Undertaking new client assessments and oversee the take-on process
  • Being responsible for the maintenance and management of medication reviews and administration
  • Working with Administration team to ensure all service documentation is up-to-date, accurate and audited
  • Working together with Care Coordination and HR teams to enable successful Care Delivery
  • Being prepared to cover rostered visits in exceptional circumstances
  • Being responsible for the operational management of the client services team
  • Supervising and coordinate the work of junior staff in the client services team
  • Assisting in creation and development of process, procedures, and controls (EAISB)
  • Forming part of the OOH Team to cover equal proportion of shifts across the month as directed by Management Team
