Lancashire County Council's in-house Digital Services team are looking for an Information Security Manager to continue their career in a dynamic, innovative department with over 450 staff.  

This vacancy will utilise your skills and experience enabling you to support the transformation of our Digital Services and add real value to the Council and its citizens. Your role will give you opportunities to: 

  • Drive and maintain an Information Security framework of policies, procedures and controls across the whole Digital service.
  • Create and operate an Information Security risk and issue management framework
  • Attend conferences, seminars and training; to gain and maintain specific expertise in standards, strategies and best practice across government and industry relating to Information Security.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to provide strategic input to the development and operation of a framework of policies, procedures and meetings to ensure that security and information assurance requirements are fulfilled across LCC and its partners.

Candidate: We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is eager to demonstrate and use their expertise of implementing an Information Security framework in a public sector environment to ensure compliance and security are maintained to the highest standards. You will have knowledge of

  • ISO 27001, PCI, PSN, NCSC Standards
  • Information Security Management (policy, procedures, controls, awareness, Risk Management, Information Security, Information Governance, Certification, GAP analysis, compliance and risk assessment)
  • Vulnerability management, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Incident response and Information Security Compliance
