South Kesteven is ideally located in one of the most beautiful parts of England, and is considered one of the best places to live in the UK.
As well as the key market towns of Grantham, Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping, we also have direct access to the A1 and the East Coast main line.
Our careful and strategic approach balances innovative models of new housing provision with the needs of existing communities and infrastructure. With 6,000 homes under management, our housing service has been on a rapid journey of improvement in recent months. The hard work we’ve put in has now been recognised, and we’re looking to the future with confidence and optimism.
This is a broad, varied role in a highly visible and closely scrutinised service. You’ll have responsibility for a range of functions and strategic objectives from housing management to development, capital programmes (including acquisitions) to compliance.
You’ll also be a key player in achieving the council’s net-zero ambitions through our decarbonisation strategy. We’re looking for an experienced, confident and credible housing professional, with the strategic vision to make an immediate contribution to the wider council agenda.
Adept at managing relationships with stakeholders including tenants, employees, elected members, residents, developers and the Regulator, you will bring a consistent track record of achievement, and an inspiring vision for how we build the sustainable communities of the future.
