Sustainable Transport – Decarbonising the Future

We are in the process of developing an Electric Vehicle Strategy for Wiltshire, presenting a remarkable opportunity to be included in a project that aligns seamlessly with Wiltshire Council's commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.

The Sustainable Transport Service is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of statutory and non-statutory functions that directly impact on businesses and residents of Wiltshire.

As an Infrastructure Project Officer you will assist in the preparation of a county wide Electric Vehicle Strategy (EVS)and help manage the EVS infrastructure programme including individual projects across their whole lifecycle – from inception through to operation and preparing funding bids. You will also be responsible for the delivery of the EVS in Wiltshire and you will work closely with officers, contractors, stakeholders and elected members to ensure that the highest standards are achieved within the constraints of time and budget. You will also provide advice, guidance and support to colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of the EVS.

We are looking for a candidate who has fantastic negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships. You will have the ability to make contributions to the development of policies and advanced research and analysis skills. If you have the ability to handle and resolve criticism/challenges from external stakeholders, members of the public and the media, we would love to hear from you.
