This is an exciting opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and well-established team of local organisations leading the Borough’s response to food and food insecurity in the London Borough of Merton.
This is a one year post funded primarily by the GLA as part of the Food Roots 2 programme and by the Local Authority (LA) as part of its approach to tackling the impact of cost of living on food in the borough.
-The postholder will be managed from within the Public Health team but will be largely based with partner organisations across the Borough.
-The post holder will work collaboratively with a wide range of partners from across the voluntary sector, local authority, businesses, health, community schools to improve access to food and reduce food insecurity for Merton residents.
-The post holder will lead the development of a strategic approach to cost of living, food, food partnerships and food insecurity in the Borough and will work to embed more ‘sustainable and resilient ways of working to better support food insecure residents’.
