An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Westmorland and Furness Family Hub Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with great interpersonal skills to provide an excellent service to our customers and to support our internal team.

About the role

The Family Hub, based at Barrow Main Library, aims to join up and enhance services delivered through existing partner organisations, ensuring that parents and carers of children between 0 – 19, or 25 with SEND can access the support that they need, when they need it.

The Business and Customer Services Officer will be the first point of contact for the parents, carers, children and young people accessing our services. The post holder will also provide a high level of administrative and organisational support to the integrated team of Family Hub workers.

Who we are looking for

The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and substantial experience of dealing with customers with complex or sensitive enquiries. You will also have good written communication skills and a good knowledge of client confidentiality and GDPR legislation.

You will also have experience of providing administrative support in a large and complex organisation and be able to demonstrate an ability for planning and organising as well as prioritising your own work.
