We are an Adult Education service delivering courses across a range of subjects from basic computer courses, functional skills English and Math's to painting and drawing and many more within the adult learning centres and community-based venues. 

This post is to provide administrative support for the Adult Education team, working across the whole of the Sandwell Borough.  You will play a key role in the delivery of our frontline reception service as well as the supporting of tutors during enrolments periods. The role also involves the maintenance of learner records and the supporting centre managers in ensuring the effective day to day running of our centres including locking up the building on a rota basis at the end of the day. 

We are looking for someone with experience of working within a busy administrative environment, in particular working on a reception desk. The ability to keep accurate records and respond as needed to enquiries from our learners and managers to provide excellent customer service.     

We are looking for candidates who have good communication and interpersonal skills, presenting a positive image. They must have demonstrable experience in an administration environment with knowledge of office processes and procedures; a proven ability of working as a team member having a flexible and responsive approach is essential.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s A* to C (9 to 4) including English and Maths or equivalent.

You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook).  You will need to demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated, whilst achieving and maintaining strict deadlines.

A Standard DBS check will be completed for this post.
