Are you an experienced commissioner with knowledge in children social care and education? Are you looking for a new challenge in management and strategic commissioning? The role

You will lead an experienced and busy team, with a diverse portfolio of strategic commissioning projects for children and young people, spanning children’s social care, education and SEND. You will have a key role in instigating service review and design, contract management, quality assurance and improvement, working with partners across the council and externally.

You will have significant experience of commissioning, contract management or quality assurance and knowledge around the needs of children and young people. You will be a team player with the ambition and commitment to achieve the best outcomes for local residents. About the Service

The Commissioning, Performance and Service Development Service manages design, commissioning, market shaping, performance, and quality assurance to meet the needs of vulnerable local people and families. It works across adult social care, children’s social care and education, in conjunction with operational services and corporate support services across the council. The service works in partnership with the NHS, local voluntary and community organisations and other public bodies.
