About this opportunity

23 Hart Street is a short breaks service based in Ulverston, Cumbria, offering residential short breaks to children and young people with learning disabilities. We provide the opportunity for development and learning, in an environment that has an emphasis on fun and encouraging inclusion. We are a specially built home, enabling us to create the perfect environment to entertain, interact with, and cater to the individual needs of our young people and families. We also love to be part of the community and regularly take trips out.

Working in our Children’s Homes means being a part of a young person’s day to day life. This means being there for the highest highs and lowest lows. There will be challenges along the way but there will also be the smallest moments which feel like a huge victory! Our aim is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in our care. Our support workers are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things.
