As a County Council, we lead as one team with Executive Directors leading across the organisation and their departments. We are looking for someone to join our Executive Director team to build and develop a new and expanded ‘Place’ role.

We are seeking an inspiring, visible, and strategic individual who will be part of the Council’s Leadership Team. This is a key role focused on improving socio-economic and environmental outcomes. With a remit that spans place, economy, infrastructure, planning, public health, community protection, culture, climate and environment, you will be focussed on investing in the building blocks of good health and wellbeing and the wider determinants of health. Crucially, you will bring leadership to our engagement with the new East Midlands Combined County Authority and leverage new opportunities for public service reform across Nottinghamshire and the region.

We require a highly skilled senior leader who can engage and form strong partnerships and relationships with a range of key partners, in order to gain the best outcomes for the residents and businesses of Nottinghamshire. With your considerable top-level experience, you'll embody a can-do attitude and be prepared to challenge and lead effectively to bring about the redefinition of local public services in Nottinghamshire.
