We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Homelessness Prevention and Resettlement Officer, to join the Housing Solutions Team based at Riverside House in Rotherham.

About the role 

As part of the Housing Solutions Team, you will:

• Prevent people becoming homeless by enabling them to stay where they are.
• Help find people somewhere to go when they are homeless.
• Provide advice on housing and related matters.
• Engage our customers in assessments to understand their strengths, talents, ambitions and to identify areas they may require additional support to get or maintain housing.
• Hold a caseload and work with outside partner agencies so that residents receive support.
• Provide an effective, professional homelessness service on behalf of the Council.

This is an exciting time within the homelessness sector as we continue to create positive change and improve wellbeing under the Homelessness Reduction Act. As our Prevention and Resettlement Officer, you will have a vital role in helping us shape our service provided under this legislation to the benefit of our customers.
