About the Role
We are currently looking for an individual who can ensure the efficient use of the Lincolnshire Highway Network in the in the western areas of Bourne, Stamford, and Spalding by coordinating, inspecting and enforcing works on the highway.
The role involves:
- Administrative support to Street Works Officers in the team.
- Data entry of information into our IT systems.
- Assisting with the coordination of highway works under the Lincolnshire Permit Scheme.
- Inspection of highway sites to ensure compliance with NRSWA legislation and the Permit Scheme.
- Customer liaison with our internal engineering teams and external utilities.
This is a full-time, entry-level position in the Street Works and Permitting Team within the Highways department and training will be given to accomplish all tasks required by the role. LCC are proud to offer an agile and flexible hybrid approach to working, enabling you to strike the right balance for you and the service.
You'll be primarily based at our Sleaford/Thurlby offices, with the team typically coming in once a week, usually on Fridays, though this may vary. The remainder of your time will be spent working in a hybrid model, including time out on site.

About You
It is essential that you hold a BTEC or A levels or a NRSWA Supervisors qualifications OR have a demonstrable level of knowledge and skill suitable for the role. Candidates with relevant experience, a professional work ethic and good interpersonal skills will also be considered. Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office and the use of other Information Technology is essential.
You will be able to communicate with stakeholders effectively and to build collaborative relationships to work towards the corporate vision of achieving more than we can on our own.
Above all else you need to have a positive "can do" attitude and be passionate about ensuring the Lincolnshire Highways Network delivers for the residents and road users of the county. You will be required to be mobile across the county, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
