The Role:

As the Private Sector Housing Manager, you’ll actively prevent homelessness in your community, helping vulnerable people find safe, secure, and high-quality homes. With a focus on procurement, along with your small team, you will provide customer focus service to customers, and be the first point of contact for tenants, landlords, and external agencies. You’ll work with the Housing Solutions Service Manager in the prevention and relief of homelessness for households that require support, monitoring and reporting on outcomes for households.

About You:

This is vital, people-first work, and so you’ll fundamentally be an empathetic person passionate about improving the lives of those experiencing homelessness. You’ll have excellent communication skills, and the ability to liaise with colleagues across all levels of the organisation and beyond - including landlords and customers. You’ll help embed a culture of learning and development, providing training for residents to help them in their housing search. You’ll also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution and be an effective problem solver.
