Short break workers at Wasdale have the opportunity to work with young people with disabilities in the community, on a residential basis, and also in the family homes. We have positions available due to the continued growth of the service. 

The role is varied as the service supports children and adults from birth to 25. The service is 24 hours a day 7 days a week with shifts including bank holidays nights and weekends. 

There is a requirement that staff will complete a level 3 diploma, this will be supported through the service if not already in place.

There is an induction and training programme to support new staff to become the best short breaks workers, that can support our children and adults to reach their potential while having positive experiences.
