The SEND Local Offer Coordinator will sit within the Commissioning Team and work across all areas of SEND, Inclusion, Health, Education, Social Care and the Voluntary and Community Sector, as well as with children and young people with SEND and their parents/carers. 

The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the published Rotherham SEND Local Offer website https://www.rotherhamsendlocaloffer.org.uk ensuring that is up to date, relevant, fit for purpose and successfully communicated.  This can only be achieved by effectively liaising with a variety of services, agencies, and providers to understand what the current offer is in the borough and then working with our children, young people and their families to ensure that this is articulated and communicated well. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, building strong, professional relationships with providers and working effectively with a range of services including Social Care, Inclusion, Education and Health workers and managers as well as colleagues in Legal, Financial and Procurement Teams. In addition to this you will play a key role in gathering and presenting information to feed into service improvement plans so that services continue to improve and deliver for children and young people with SEND and their families.

We are seeking a conscientious and dedicated Rotherham SEND Local Offer Coordinator who can;

• Build strong relationships with providers, partners, children and young people and parent/carers
• Gain a good intelligence of what the provider market offers
• Communicate with a wide range of different stakeholders
• Present information in a clear, consistent and accessible way
• Demonstrate highly effective organisation skills
• Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement within a context of challenging budgets 

Applicants with the following experience and knowledge will have an advantage:

• Experience of websites / systems.
• Knowledge of services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).

Although neither of these are essential as applicants will be asked to demonstrate transferable skills in the recruitment process.
