This post is considered as a suitable secondment opportunity. If you wish to apply on a secondment basis you should seek the necessary approval from your current employer prior to making an application.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Vulnerable Adults Professional to join our Complex Lives Team. Protecting vulnerable adults is a safeguarding function led by Rotherham Safeguarding Adults Board (RSAB) as a collective, partnership responsibility.
The Vulnerability Lead Professional will provide a co-ordinated response to supporting complex vulnerability, ensuring an improved, person-centred experience for individuals accessing the pathway. It will strengthen resilience across the partnership through improved clarity on roles, responsibilities, and commitment to delivery of the pathway.
There is a significant cohort of vulnerable adults in Rotherham that do not meet statutory safeguarding thresholds yet are complex individuals that pose significant risk of harm to themselves and others. Without appropriate preventative safeguarding mechanisms and support in place, the impact on the totality of place would be significant, including to our acute partners.
You will adopt a collaborative approach to a complex vulnerability pathway and will support the management of associated risks through a process of escalation involving partnership working.
We are looking for an inspirational individual with exceptional management skills, motivation and drive, to work closely with the existing Management Team within the Adult Care and Integration Service.
You will have proven operational management and strategy setting experience at a team manager level and have the ability to identify and manage principal risks to achieve objectives in an environment where a degree of uncertainty exists. It is essential that you can demonstrate a working understanding of working within complexity and management of positive risk taking.
You will contribute to the management of performance in relation to key indicators, ensuring the ethos and principles of strengths and asset-based support that is embedded into the day-to-day work and will be a critical part of the governance of the new ways of working.
You will also contribute to a standby rota with occasional evening and out of hours working.
The role will involve working closely with both internal and external partners and stakeholders to effect change and deliver a more integrated approach within the current climate of financial challenge across the public sector.
Interviews will take place on Monday 14th October 2024.
