Director of Strategic Commissioning, Integration and Partnerships
£101,540 to £111,491 (inclusive of pay award)
Matlock, Derbyshire
At Derbyshire County Council, we are ambitious for our varied and diverse communities, building on our success and continuing our journey as a modern and effective organisation. Our ‘Best Lives’ strategy is clear in its ambition to empower residents to live independently and lead fulfilling lives in their communities, taking a strengths-based approach to care and support. This has led to a whole new shape to our leadership team in adult social care and health that will change how we work as an organisation to deliver a resident focused service that is designed to tackle the challenges of the future.
We have recently received a ‘Good’ CQC assessment, one of the first in the country, however, we are eager to achieve more, responding to the changing demands of our county population. Our approach is to support our communities and empower our residents to live healthy, independent and fulfilling lives. As the new Director of Strategic Commissioning, Integration and Partnerships, you will lead our vision to build community wealth and tackle the inequalities, joining up across all service areas and partners. We want to deliver a place-based approach, where working in partnerships will be crucial with internal colleagues, health partners, the provider market, the community and voluntary sector to ensure impact across the wide range of determinants of wellbeing. We have strong relationships with health colleagues, working closely with the ICB. You will drive effective market management and development of local provision. Strong governance and risk management processes will be key to ensure our residents receive safe and effective services.
It is essential that you are an experienced commissioning professional who recognises the positive impact and change that you can make through effective commissioning and closer integrated working across all sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference, with strong support from our Members to truly enable residents to fulfil their potential and support the most vulnerable in our communities.
