Our Reablement Service is recruiting a Care & Support Worker working nights to ensure that the care we provide is continuous and responsive to the most vulnerable people in our district, providing the best possible quality of care in the community.

This position is permanent working 26.25 hours each week.

This essential service works 7 days per week, 52 weeks a year, The position does include weekends and bank holidays.

The successful person will be prepared to work a 2-week rota during the hours of 23:00pm – 6.30am. All shifts are waking night shifts.

This post is subject to the Fluency Duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016. The post holder is required to demonstrate a proficient level of fluency under the Duty as detailed within the job specification for the post”.

The aim of our service is to enable service users to remain in their own homes by promoting independence and delivering a quality service.

To ensure individuals are treat with dignity and respect and to work alongside other professionals and agencies in a person-centred way to deliver effective services by working within national guidelines and standards. 

Our night service provides a Virtual Ward service which supports patients who would otherwise be in hospital to receive the care, be monitored and receive treatment. The virtual ward service allows service users to come home to receive the care, be monitored and receive treatment they need, rather than having to stay in hospital to receive this.

We also provide a Dementia wraparound service, where our night support assistants provide care during the night for Dementia service users who need 1-1 within a residential care setting, which ensures service users with Dementia receive care 24/7.

Our Repositioning service provides a repositioning service through the night to service users in their own homes to monitor and prevent pressure sores.

We also provide an urgent response short term intervention service which is a service that responds to one off or short-term support through the night to either expedite hospital discharge or prevent a hospital admission.

The successful candidate will be given a comprehensive induction programme, full training to deliver high standards of care, and we will fund the qualification for you on successful completion of the probation period.

With a starting salary of £24,790 to £25,183  (FTE), enhancements for Nights, weekend and bank holiday working, plus overtime opportunities and 26 days holiday (FTE) why wouldn’t you want to choose a career in care?
