The Corporate Plan for East Cambridgeshire District Council sets out the Council’s ambitious priorities to 2027 and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Community Infrastructure Manager to help deliver the transport initiatives and community infrastructure projects identified in the Plan.
To support the development of the Council’s new Local Plan, the post holder will be required to produce and monitor a new Infrastructure Delivery Plan which will identify infrastructure requirements across the district, setting out what is needed, where, and when.
The successful applicant will lead and project manage specific infrastructure projects and assist the Climate Change & Natural Environment Manager with the establishment and delivery of climate change and environment related infrastructure projects within the Councils Environment Plan.
They will manage the affordable housing programme in East Cambridgeshire, supporting Community Led Development initiatives where appropriate and maintain an overview of the administrative processes to monitor and report on developer obligations and S106 and CIL receipts and expenditure.
The post holder will also manage the Infrastructure and Strategic Housing team and be responsible for the development and delivery of the Infrastructure and Strategic Housing Service Plan performance measures.
The post holder will have a degree level qualification in relevant discipline or at least 3-5 years’ experience and a successful track record in project management and/or programme management on infrastructure and/or regeneration projects.
They will also have experience in handling consultation on infrastructure and/or regeneration projects and coordination and preparation of business plans and funding bids.

• have a degree level qualification in relevant discipline or at least 3-5 years experience and a successful track record in project management and/or programme management on infrastructure and/or regeneration projects
• be able to demonstrate excellent partnership working, influencing and facilitation skills, including political awareness
• have effective programme and project management, performance management and policy skills
• be a positive team player who wants to deliver for the council and our communities
• have excellent written and verbal communication skills
