You have an opportunity to be part of this by joining our Public Health - Healthy Places team in the role of Public Health Research and Evaluation Officer.   

In addition, we are in the enviable position of being one of 24 local authorities from across the UK to have a Health Determinant Research Collaboration (HDRC), funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR). Our HDRC is hosted by City of Doncaster Council, in collaboration with our partners at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University and therefore you will benefit from working alongside the HDRC’s embedded researchers with varying areas  

As Public Health Research and Evaluation Officer, you will undertake research and evaluation activities of existing projects and programmes, working closely with Public Health Theme Leads and HDRC Team. You have the opportunity work alongside local decision makers and council officers to help mould suitable research, evaluation and evidence-based approaches, and develop and deliver project specific research and evaluation frameworks.  

The role would suit someone with research and evaluation experience alongside a relevant qualification and an enthusiasm for working in a public health setting. We can offer you a dynamic and supportive environment in which to develop your skills and experience.   

You should have experience of producing research and evaluation reports, briefings, academic papers and other dissemination activities for a range of audiences.  

Excellent interpersonal skills are also essential. You should be able to independently plan and deliver work with a range of partners from diverse agencies and backgrounds.
